In May, as part of AT&T Software Symposium and celebration of 100 years of innovations in Bell Labs, we witnessed an incredible display of creativity, collaboration, and innovation during the international track of Symposium Hackathon.

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible AT&T Mentors whose expertise and dedication made our event truly exceptional. By generously sharing their knowledge and guidance, they empowered students throughout their journey, offering invaluable tips and tricks to elevate their experience. Their support not only inspired confidence but also helped deliver products of outstanding quality and excellence. We deeply appreciate their commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent and making this event unforgettable.

Among other mentors mainly from TechDev Europe, I would like to name those, whose help stood out significantly from the rest:

Jan Michalčák – The Tech guru, for being the mentor lead, code reviewer and in the end even the Jury member

Jiří Višinka – for assistance in preparation, preparing the official communication, the web design and behind the scenes work during the Jury session and presentations.

Petr Novák – for assistance in preparation, valued ideas, mentoring and taking the uneasy jury duty

Daniel Tománek – for his valued ideas, HW related mentoring, maintaining the jury voting mechanisms and his jury duty

Zuzana Brančová – for assistance with preparation, multiple inputs, coordination with external partners, paperwork and communication.

After a week of hard work, brainstorming, and prototyping of the teams from Czech and Slovak High Schools, the jury faced the difficult task of selecting the top projects from a pool of outstanding submissions. With every team presenting unique ideas and creative solutions, it was no easy feat to choose the winners. We are excited to announce the top three projects that truly stood out:

AI Prompt Learning 🥇1st Place Winner Team Gyarab from High School Arabska, Prague Czechia Demo Video from Gyarab The AI Prompt Learning Game is an innovative and educational experience designed to teach players how to craft efficient and meaningful AI prompts. Players navigate their character through a maze, relying solely on the power of their prompts to guide the journey. It’s a fun and interactive way to develop skills for communicating effectively with AI systems.               AI Vision Glasses  🥈2nd Place Winner Team Revidu from High School Purkyňova, Brno Czechia Demo Video from Revidu AI Vision Glasses bring wearable technology to life, using AI to interpret the world around you. Simply ask the glasses what you’re looking at, and they’ll provide a detailed explanation via text-to-speech directly to your ear. This device is a step forward in accessibility and augmented intelligence, offering real-time insights wherever you go.               AI Survival Game 🥉3rd Place Winner Team Merkury from High School of Film, Multimedia and Computer Tech, Zlin Czechia Demo Video from Merkury The Survival Game combines creativity and adventure, allowing players to generate their own AI-crafted worlds based on prompts. These worlds are filled with resources tailored to help players progress and overcome challenges. It’s a thrilling experience where imagination meets survival in an ever-evolving AI-generated environment.

While we celebrate the top three winners, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate all the incredible projects submitted during the Hackathon. Each idea brought a unique perspective and showcased remarkable creativity and effort. The jury faced an exceptionally challenging task in selecting the winners, as every project demonstrated great potential and innovation.
